Cities Skylines DLC Unlocker: A Step-by-Step Guide

Are you tired of not being able to access all the DLCs for your Cities Skylines game? Look no further! With the Cities Skylines DLC Unlocker, you can unlock DLCs for your legit game. But before we dive into the installation process, let's take a look at the changelog in the second post of the CS RIN thread.

To get started, simply check if the new DLC has been added to the Unlocker. If it has, you'll be able to follow the same menu as on Windows to unlock your desired DLCs. On Linux, the only difference is that you need to run setup_linux.sh (try double-clicking on it if that doesn't work, or run it from the terminal) and select which wine/proton prefix with EA app installed.

If you have multiple wine/proton prefixes with EA app installed, simply select which one to use. And if your DLCs suddenly stop working, it's likely because EA app updated and removed the DLC Unlocker.

For Sims players, note that you need to download the DLC files if needed (see links below) and follow the instructions above from the second step onwards. If you have both EA app and Origin installed, make sure to select 'Add/Update game config' and select the game. This will detect EA app only and not start the game from Origin with DLCs unlocked.

To install the Unlocker, simply run setup.bat (or equivalent on Linux) and follow the prompts. The script automatically detects if you have EA app or Origin installed. Select 'Install' to install the Unlocker, and then follow the instructions above for Sims players.

If any of the DLC unlockers cause problems with any games you installed them on, simply go back to step 5 and select what games you wish to revert changes to, and instead click the Uninstall button this time. With this tool, you can unlock DLCs for your legit game without having to purchase them separately.

Note that none of the DLC unlockers are tested for every single game, so be careful when selecting which games' DLCs you wish to unlock. The program may take a good amount of time on the first run, depending on how many games you chose and how many DLCs they have. Wait for the program to gather and cache the chosen games' information & DLCs, and then wait for it to download and install SteamCMD (if you chose a Steam game).

The program automatically gathers all installed games from Steam, Epic, and Ubisoft directories, so make sure to choose which programs and/or games the program should scan for DLC. If the default version.dll doesn't work, see here to find one that does.
